St. Agatha, also called Saint Agatha of Sicily, (flourished 3rd century?, Sicily; feast day February 5), legendary Christian saint and virgin martyr. As a teenager, she decided to remain a virgin. According to Christian faith, she committed herself to a life devoted to Jesus Christ at a tender age and thus took the vow of virginity.
