The film follows a traditional linear structure, but it’s really the polish of the piece and the hook of the narrative that keeps you gripped. Following the death of her father, a 17-year-old girl is sent to live with her estranged family and finds comfort in a questionable friendship with a self-destructive neighbor, leading both on a startling path to self discovery. Sole finds comfort in her secret binges, and one day she discovers her neighbor, the beautiful and popular jasmine, but people are never as perfect as they seem.
